Consolidation Test Set
The one-dimensonal consolidat on test of a solsample enables to ascertanthe settlement characterstcover a given period of time. Loads are appled with progressive nicreases and the settlement values are read on a dal gauge.
Tests are carred out on specmens prepared from undsturbed samples. Data obtaned from these tests together with classification data and a knowledge of soils loading history, enables estimated to be made of the behavior of foundations under load.

The Front Loading Oedometer s rgdly manufactured from aluminumalloy casting to provide a hgh degree of accuracy with any frame dst ortons under load. The frame sdesgned to load the specmenthrough a l everarm assemblyand one of three alternative beam ratosas 9:1, 10:1 and 11:1.
The beam is fitted with a counter balance weight and beam support jack. The cell platform will accept the complete range consolidation cells and is fitted with a central spgot to ensure accurate centerng of the cell under the loading.
The fixed ring Consolidation Cells are manufactured from corrosion-resistant materals and conform to the requr ements of the relevant standards. All cells are suppledcomplete wth Upper and Lower Porous Dsc, Pressure Pad and Cuttng (Specmen) Rng. Any Consoldaton Cells are listed below can.
